A method used in Teacher Academy Foundation Trainings

1. Participants are divided into three groups. Each group is told to sit in a circle. The materials to be used (tapes with the expressions of communication barriers) are separated as many as the number of each group.

2. Both groups are informed that "You are a group of friends going on holiday, decide where and when you will go by discussing." (depending on the participant profile, another event can be given, such as an apartment meeting, teachers' room, etc.).

3. The participants are informed that you will place papers with some statements written on them, and when the meeting starts, they should act in accordance with this directive. At the beginning of the activity, it is explained that they should remember that this is a game during the process in order to be effective.

4. The following statements are placed on the foreheads of the participants so that they cannot see them.
- Do not make eye contact with me.
- Give me advice.
- Comfort me.
- Interrupt me.
- Laugh at what I say.
- Accuse me.
- Criticise me.
- Make fun of what I say.
- Ask me probing questions.
- Give me orders.

5. It is stated that their duration is five minutes.

6. When the activity is completed, sharing is done with the help of the following questions.
-What happened?
-What did you feel?
-What did this activity make you think?
