Group Size & Age
Maximum 30 people of any age
Participants are divided into groups of 5-6 people. Each group comes to the centre one by one while the other groups sit and watch. The player explains to the participants that a snapshot is a traditional type of photographs taken by tourists with polaroid cameras. The performer then gives a word to the group in the centre and shouts "snap photo!". Counts up to 3. Within 3 seconds, the group has to produce a single photo or pose that expresses this word. After the pose, the group members sit down and all participants critique the pose. Some examples of the given words: Wedding, ambulance, school, vacation, Europe, volunteering, Turkey... The words should be related to the purpose of the session. The game can be repeated. In the case of repetition, it would be appropriate to give concrete words in the first stage and abstract words in the second stage. In this way, the difference between being able to think of concrete and abstract words can be discussed.
